I had loads of fun during both workshops and I think any other way either IA or AR, it'll be fine with me. It's just either you design a furniture for IA or a building for AR. Both are very fun and intriguing. And the friends I made through out the workshops were cooler than I've expected. We connected so easily. I guess, birds of the same kind do flock together. I've been lucky maybe because everyone was so easy to work with during the group challenges! The ALFA student helpers were very helpful and encouraging and the lecturers are very bubbly and sporting. Furthermore, was I amaze at the artworks that the students made! Some of my friends back in SSP might not really get it but how cool was it to look at a magnificent piece of art and not just be able to awed by it but can also relate it to the person beside you who also sort of understands the beauty of the art piece. (Whoa, I totally sound like someone who has been in a different crowd all my life.) And what are the odds that my group won both challenges on both days? *wilddisbeliefface. Way AWESUMMM. Way to spend the weekends with new things too!Eating my heart out.

A True Hijabi (snippet)
True hijab comes from the inside and should also reflect the outer appearance. Hijab delivers the elegance of muslim women. Some people said that a true woman is not one who reveals her beauty/body in order to please others. Rather, a true woman is one who covers her beauty/body in order to please her creator! Simply for me, the woman who keeps in track in high faith to the only God is called true hijabi and I’m on my way to improving myself. Insya Allah :)Adetya Ghassani N. from Indonesia

"What have you been doing all these times?" - bloggie
Lol. Not that the blog would ever say that for real. But seriously, yeah, what have I been doing? Ha ha. I know I haven't been writing much like I should, I guess things sort of just happens around the house in my life that I sometimes couldn't help but just let them. Surely, life should be a lot easier since I'm not in school. But hey, it's not as easy as I expected. I did plan. But then, as His servants we can only plan, can't we? It's up to him to make it all happen.
This week actually was a very fast one indeed. I had those driving classes I've been putting aside for sometime since I was away and it was all I can think of this week. Lol. I know I should be having a fun time with the classes, but I also can't help by having those butterflies about driving for the first time. And turns out, it was fun. All it needed was some patient and calmness. Kak Mah, my instructor was very kind and helpful. However, the fun part had to come to an end. Yesterday was my last class and due to some other complications at the driving school, I can't have my test until the end of the month. Oh well, good things for those who wait. No rush.

Hey, I didn't even get to tell you guys about the last family gathering that we had the other day on Huda's birthday also in conjunction with our Prophet Muhammad's (PTBUH) birthday. It was a blast. It's been a while since the family had gotten together and I think I did sort of miss them. I can't remember the last time I've been to Pak Teh's house though. I mean, they just moved in again to the house on the hill of Zoo View like a year ago, I think, and I haven't been there since before the landslide tragedy. It was quite a shock to the whole family when that happened but thank god Pak Teh and the family was saved when the landslide happened. They were quite lucky as well because the house survived. Some of their other neighbors weren't so lucky like they were. And it was a very beautiful house on the hill actually. Don't let start on the view that they have from the balcony. Why do you think they call it the Zoo View? Ha ha. It was a mesmerizing -as-far-as-the-eye-can-see view of KL and it's roads. Get's even better at night actually. And a lot had changed in the house too since I then. Anyway, we had a cook out BBQ by the empty pond and a heart wrenching ice-cream cake for the birthday girl from Baskin Robbins. Mmm, yummy right? Too bad Haziq can't be there and Nadhirah too. Or not it'll be way cooler. I miss Wan and Mak Lang and all the Melaka peeps, it's great to see them again. The foods was AMAZING and the pictures by Abg. Faris was splendid. But of course we have to have the normal cam whoring when the family gets together. It's like a routine since the last few years. And nobody owned the pictures like we do. The presents we bought for Huda was nice and for the first time in the family history, we actually finished a cake on a birthday celebration. Ha ha. Shows how good the cake is. LOL.
Ama and Kappa got me thinking of getting the 'dakwah' thing on the road too these days. I mean, I should be thankful about having these guys just to have that small chat on Islam. Not many would spend time talking about these topics anyway. I guess I should do it at least once a week. And the other day as I was Facebook-ing, I came across this irritating picture of a friend of mine with a very peculiar combination of clothes on. I don't know about anyone else but the most annoying things for me to see these days other than the critical condition of the environment, it would be how little some of the hijabians these days would think when they decided to dress themselves. I mean, the girl has a very pretty assemble of hijab on her head but with a short sleeved shirt on. What was she thinking?! If it was some random girl, I could have let it go. But it was a friend of mine. Close friend. Haven't she been paying attention to the Usrah at school? Astargfirullahalazim. Girls these days should actually be better at dressing and know how they should wear them the right way. Fashion is no longer a problem to follow. I just don't get it. I'll continue my argument on a new post later. Let's leave it here. So, I guess that's as far as I can go for now. I have more other thing to do for myself that doesn't involve the Net. Like sketching. Grr. I haven't drawn a single thing in soooo long it hurts just by thinking about it. lol. Until then, stay cool and stay true to yourself. Ha ha.

Gray.
Saturday, February 04, 2012Imagine how one visit can remind you so much of the memories you used to want to cherish forever but having them slipping away every second of today.
Too bad it had to turn gray.
Or you'd see me crying over this every day.
They didn't say moving on was easy,
They just tell you it's not worth it to stay in the past.
So many things awaits you in the future. Why turn back?
Why do I have to,
when I have no reason to remember the things that brings sadness to my life than happiness?

The step I've yet to embark on.
Two years from being the Naqibah of an usrah in school, I have to say I've never done any part of my Tazkirah here online. I do have quite a number of shared Tazkirahs myself that I used to share with my friends and juniors before and I love sharing new things with people. And what better things to be sharing with others than the words of wisdom of Islam. Islam is an exceptional topic come to think of it. And just by getting know Islam better a little bit more everyday, it is already enough to strengthen that belief that we have for our religion. I'm quite taken back by this fact myself, actually. For me to not have any post on Islam so far in my blog. I've always loved the times spent in the usrah really. All those discussions and motivational talks that I joined, I've never failed to find that new and interesting facts about Islam that I've never knew before. I'm always the one to be talking about the things that means the world to me whenever I've got the chance to. For instance, on life and all those crazy mixed up emotions of mine. I've said enough of those here already. And out of all the people, I should have figured this out myself before. Islam should be one of those things that is worth to be posted here. Nothing is more important to me as it is than my responsibilities to my religion. A part of the Muslims' responsibilities is to keep on reminding each other of good deeds as well as to set a good example to the non-Muslims, right? Since I don't really have much chance of going out and meeting people these days unlike when I'm in school, I guess I do owe you guys a penny for your thoughts here. And you know how much I enjoy writing, surely Islam should be a good motivation for me to write more in my blog these days. Hopefully. As it should be.Well, I have left the blog quite astray since I stayed in Melaka. So, I've yet to warm up my fingers. But, I promise to make this happen. More tazkirahs to come!
Although I do I need some help on the English Islamic terms. Haha.
